The 24-year-old had success with both Michigan State and Western Michigan University
PAPILLION, Neb. (March 6, 2024) – Union Omaha announced today the signing of Will Perkins pending league and federation approval. Perkins is coming off his final collegiate season with Western Michigan University after four successful years with Michigan State University.

Perkins enjoyed a standout finale to his college career. The Broncos dominated the Missouri Valley Conference, winning both the regular-season championship and the playoff tournament in 2023. Perkins was named to the all-conference second team as he contributed both defensively and offensively, adding a goal and six assists during the season.
The defender’s time with Michigan State began brightly in 2018 as the team reached the NCAA College Cup Semifinals for the first time since 1968. During the COVID-shortened season in 2020, Perkins appeared in every match for the Spartans. He showed leadership as an ever-present captain the following two seasons, opting to return for a fifth year in 2022 to pursue his college degree. Perkins recorded four goals and five assists across 2,665 minutes for Michigan State.
“Will is a hard-working young fullback that impressed at our invitational combine and throughout our preseason,” said Union Omaha Head Coach Dominic Casciato. “He’s got a great energy on the field and in the locker room that will continue to be a positive influence on the group.”
“Excited doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel about joining this season,” said Perkins. “Not only will I give 100% to the club but the community of Omaha as well!”
